Welcome to NeuroSpice & Life

Neurodivergent? Neurospicy?

Unfairly labelled? Misunderstood?

This is the place where we peel back the labels like 'lazy', 'stupid' or 'difficult' and see what is underneath.

"We know the sting of an unjust label

— they can stick, shape us, shrink us and sometimes sink us —

Let's peel them off together"

The neurospice and life podcast cover showing a spice jar exploding in rainbow powder representing the different types of neurodiversity including autism, ADHD, Tourette's, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, OCD. There is a label on the jar peeling off representing unfair labels like lazy, stupid and difficult that are incorrectly applied to the neurodivergent community.

We’ve been besties since the 90s — navigating late diagnosis, identity, adulting, setbacks and strife with equal parts chaos, compassion, and caffeine.

Freya is an alexithymic counsellor, chaos-wrangler, and happy steamroller who stays calm while everyone else panics.

Hanna is a qualified sexologist, professional over-sharer, and proud weirdo with a knack for turning awkward into awesome.

Together, we’re Neurospice and Life — two AuADHDing mates on a mission to unpack unfair labels, swap shame for strength, judgement for laughter, and find the beauty in being a little “too much.”

"Here, we give ourselves permission to think differently,

to stay curious, and to craft new stories that are

more compassionate, authentic, and unapologetically real"
